About our journals

What are Arc and Axis journals made from?

Our journals are made from premium faux leather — not genuine animal leather. We chose faux leather for its durability, its consistent finish, and its accessibility. Every journal is handcrafted by hand in the UAE.

What sizes are available?

We offer two sizes: A5 (148 × 210mm) and A4 (210 × 297mm). A5 is compact and great for everyday carry. A4 gives you a full page to write, plan, or sketch.

What is the difference between bifold and trifold?

A bifold journal opens with a single fold — clean, minimal, and flat. A trifold opens across three panels, giving you more surface area and a more layered, structured feel. Both styles are available in A5 and A4.

What colours are available?

Each journal is available in five colours: Blue, Black, Brown, Olive Green, and Plum. All colours are the same price.

Does the journal come with a notebook inside?

Yes — every journal includes a refillable notebook insert. When the pages run out, you can order a Notebook Refill separately and keep using the same cover.

What is the pocket option?

You can add an internal pocket to any journal for an additional AED 15. The pocket sits inside the cover and is ideal for storing loose notes, cards, or small documents.

Personalisation

What does personalisation mean?

Personalisation means your name is embossed directly onto the faux leather cover. It is a clean, pressed finish — no ink, no stickers. Just your name, permanently set into the material.

How much does personalisation cost?

Name embossing is an additional AED 10 on any journal.

Does personalisation affect the delivery time?

Yes — personalised orders require an additional 1–2 business days as each journal is finished by hand before dispatch.

Can I personalise with anything other than a name?

Currently we offer single name or initials embossing only. If you have a specific request, reach out to us before placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate it.

Charms

What are charms?

Charms are small decorative accessories that attach to the string closure of your journal. They are available as a separate add-on at AED 4 and can be added to your order at checkout.

Shipping

Do you ship outside the UAE?

No — we currently ship within the UAE only.

How long does delivery take?

Standard orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days. Delivery then takes 1–2 business days in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and 2–3 business days in other emirates. Personalised orders take an additional 1–2 business days.

Is there free shipping?

Yes — we offer free shipping on orders above AED 250.

Corporate & gifting

Do you offer corporate orders?

Yes. We welcome bulk orders for businesses, events, and gifting programmes. Corporate orders require a minimum order quantity and can include name or logo embossing. Rates are confirmed based on quantity and requirements — get in touch at orders@arcandaxisjournals.com and we will put together a quote for you.

Are your journals suitable as gifts?

Absolutely. We offer a Gift Set option that includes a journal and a notebook refill, beautifully packaged and ready to give. You can also add personalisation to make it even more special.

Care

How do I care for my journal?

Wipe the faux leather cover with a soft dry cloth to clean. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture. Store flat or upright — do not stack heavy items on top of it.
