Three hours, a table full of tools, and a journal that did not exist when you sat down. Our workshops are small, hands-on and deliberately unhurried — you cut the cover, set the eyelets, thread the elastic and pick your charm, and you leave with the journal you made.

We run one on the first Saturday of every month in Abu Shagara, Sharjah. No experience needed. Most people who come have never made anything like this before.

The essentials

  • When — first Saturday of every month, 4:00pm to 7:00pm
  • Where — Abu Shagara, Sharjah. The exact address is sent to you once your seat is booked
  • How long — three hours, start to finish
  • Who it's for — complete beginners welcome, ages 15 and over
  • Price — AED 250 per seat
  • Included — all materials and tools, plus food and drinks
  • You take home — the refillable faux leather journal you built

What happens in the three hours

  1. Choose your materials. Pick your cover colour, your hardware and the charm that goes on the elastic.
  2. Cut and shape. Measure and cut the cover, then score the folds that turn a flat sheet into a trifold.
  3. Set the hardware. Punch and set the eyelets with the mallet — the part everyone is nervous about and then wants to do again.
  4. Thread and finish. String the elastics, fit your notebook inserts, add the charm, and it's yours.

You are guided the whole way through. Nothing is pre-made for you, and nothing is left for you to finish at home.

Is anything posted to me?
No. This is an in-person session, so there is nothing to ship and no delivery address to give. Once you book, we send the exact address and joining details by WhatsApp.

Do I need to bring anything?
No. Every tool and material is on the table when you arrive. Come as you are.

I've never made anything by hand. Is that a problem?
Not at all — most of the room is in the same position. The session is built for first-timers and you are talked through every step.

Can I come with a friend?
Yes, and most people do. Book a seat for each person on the same date.

Can you run a private or corporate session?
Yes. We run private workshops for teams, birthdays and group events on other dates. Message us on WhatsApp and tell us roughly how many people and when.

What if I can't make it?
Let us know at least 7 days before the date and we'll move your seat to a later session, or you can pass it to someone else. Inside 7 days we can't refund or move it, because your materials are already prepared.

Is the journal real leather?
No. We work in premium faux leather (PU), by choice, and we say so plainly.
